Sometimes, our fondest childhood memories ignite our grown-up dream and endeavors...

I was raised in a small, French village, where Cognac is our digestif—or after dinner drink—of choice. I remember my loving Grand-Père (grandpa) Hugo, taking out his bottle of Cognac and sharing it with his family and close friends, while I watched from the sidelines. After years of working in the spirit business and developing groundbreaking lines, such as “ChocoVine”, I have finally turned my attention to my grandfather’s beloved Cognac. 

Cognac is enjoyed all over the world, but it’s predominantly associated with men. It has taken on a reputation as too intimidating or too strong of a drink for women. As a spirit’s lover, and a strong woman, I’ve spent the last few years working to dispel this stereotype by teaming up with one of France’s top master blenders to create a line of Cognacs that are fruit-forward, velvety smooth and defy stereotypes. Hugo uses the world's finest Cognacs from the region and blends them to perfection using old world techniques, resulting in premium Cognacs for every palate and occasion. 

I am especially thrilled to have created two Cognac-infused liqueurs.  Hugo Bleu, a decadent blend of Cognac and all natural ingredients, is our low proof (24% Alc/Vol) and delicious line of liqueurs. They currently come in two unprecedented flavors: Chocolate, where our VSOP Cognac is blended with decadent European chocolate, and coffee, with the bold and aromatic flavor of freshly roasted gourmet coffee.
More flavors are being developed, such as raspberry and pear. Stay tuned!

Hugo Bleu, is a modern take on tradition and excellence, promising to be a favorite among not just women–but all who appreciate the finer things in life.  Drink Hugo Bleu straight, on the rocks or shaken in creative cocktails.

It’s my sincere hope that you will enjoy our cognacs as much as I’ve enjoyed perfecting them. 

This has been a labor of love, patience and perseverance. I believe it’s worthy of a Grandpa Hugo toast!
